Despite that it is the 21st century now, since young we (Chinese) are taught the important of our “roots”, so till today, we still do celebrate many traditional Chinese festival. I believe all of you know that it is the “Hungry Ghost Festival” (aka 7th Month) now, before this festival even coming close to an end, people already preparing for the next upcoming festival, “Mid-Autumn Festival” (aka Mooncake festival or lantern festival).

I’m not going to touch on anything about how this festival come about, how “Houyi” & “Chang-er” gets into the picture, I “assume” most of you should already know about it (If not, please Google it), what I want to share is on MOONCAKE. I always got pretty excited over this festivals, not because “Mid-Autumn” meant anything special to me, if really wanna go in depth, I actually hate that festival. Okay, enough of all this unhappy thing that spoil the festive mood, let get straight to the point, is those goodies that symbolise the festival get me in the mood of joy. Imagine you only get to eat those goodies only once every year, who can resist that temptation?

In the past, I never like to eat mooncake, too much of lotus paste will make me feel sick & I seriously cannot accept the combination with salted egg yolk, to be exact, I only like the skin of the mooncake. But as I get older, I begin to shop for my own mooncake (gift to my boyfriend’s family), I was introduce to many fusion style mooncake that actual interest me a lot & I love them all. From the fruit favour to the ice cream filling, not forgetting about chocolate truffle were used to replace the traditional salted egg yolk.

I already decided to go for some fusion “Doraemon” mooncake this year. Doraemon mooncakes 2012 serial come in 2 different type of collection, “Classics” & “Snow Skin”, each type of collection come in 9 interesting favour of your choice. Our Love Nest Progression

I was kinda force to watch the National Day Rally on the last Sunday as my house do not have cable TV & all channel available is on the Rally. This is like the very first time I actually sit down & listen to the Rally, I’m glad that government actually trying their best to resolve the citizens issue.

At least some good news from the Rally, more subsidies on part-time study loan from the government. This don’t really applied for me as I gonna sign up a bond with my company for my degree program next year, but this change gonna benefit my boyfriend in a way. It never cheap to study, after 2 to 3 years spending 20 over thousands in exchange for a piece of paper, it way to expensive.

PM Lee use a young couples as example, they study part-time courses together as a motivation for each other to move to the next level, my boyfriend still joking say why aren’t we the example too, lolz. Both of us study our diploma together acting as each other motivation, we are planning to do our degree together again soon. But I told him the different is the couple have a baby, but we don’t. People set up a family while they climb, we wanted to climb higher first before we start our family.

Not forgetting about looking into the new flat issue for young couples, government are working on establishing shorter waiting time for the whole progress of apply new flat. This news came a little too late for us. Can you imagine we actually spend like a whole year bidding for our new flat nearly every month, we only got our flat on our 8th bid, sadly, it isn’t a location of our choice. For 7times we bid for Sengkang & Puggol we didn’t get it, first time trying our luck on Yishun & we got it, is like. . . . “speechless” in a way.

Anyway, like it or not we still need to stick with this choice for the next 5years after we get our key. Well, look at the bright side, is like what my boyfriend say to me, “location does matter, but who you staying with matter more”, he still say if we never spend the whole year bidding without result, most probably we already marry with kids now.

The progress of building our future love nest still consider good, it a weekly routine for us to go there on every weekend since to see the progression. We visited there on early May this year, it only at the 1st storey, guess how tall it is now? I guess the workers are working real hard, last Sunday we went there around evening time is already in the mid of completing the 7th storey. Maybe it really like what majority say, we might be able to get the key much earlier than the completion date state, estimate should be around 6months to 1year earlier.

If we really gonna get the flat earlier, we need to bring forward our marry plan too, did source for some places to hold the dinner, so far our choice is on MBS & Ritz Carlton. Yah, the name of the hotel stunt most people too when I bought up to them, each table averagely will cost us around 1.2k to 1.8K, that why we are working so hard to save up now, we know very well that the "ang-pao" we gonna receive are not able to cover the cost, we already prepared to lost more than 1/2 of the price we gonna pay. My dear friends, be prepare & starting saving up for my “ang-pao” now, don't let me lost so much, whahahaha!!

Little Cassie Angel

Cassie was all dress up with the gifts from me, my favourite cartoon character "Winnie the Pooh", such a cute little angel!!

Can't imagine the day where I gonna have a kid of my own. If she is girl, I gonna doll her up as a gorgeous elegance little princess & if he a boy, I gonna dress him like charming handsome little prince.

4 Days of House-wife like Life

Back to office after a long break, did not rest well lately, feeling extremely lethargic instead.

Dear’s parents is really in the retire mood now, basically the 2 of them will go on holiday together every month, I hope that I can do the same thing when I grow old next time. Since they are away, I stay over at their place to help out on the household chores, you can imagine how messy the house can get with 2 big men & 4 annoying cats.

I kinda glad that the boy I used to fall for had become a real man that will take up the responsibility of looking after his home now when his parents is not around now. He make sure that the house is clean, clothes are washed, cats are fed, everything is just in the right condition awaiting for his parents to come home with no worry.

I didn’t help out much this time actually, I only assist to pressed the clothes, sweep or mop the floor when I see fur flying around & make sure my man & the 4 kitty’s tummy never go on hunger. It a 3-room flat now, I can’t imagine them moving in their new 3-storey town house next month, I think I will tidy the place till I cry.

The 4 cats is driving me nut in the 4 days, as compare to dog, I must agree that cat are literally more clever in a way that they will release themselves in the cat’s litter & cover with the sand after they are done. But their poo & pee are extremely stink, I just cannot stand that smell & I simply refuse to help out on clearing up the cat’s litter no matter what.

They are so active at night & all of them are just so annoying, can you imagine that there so much space for the cats to walk around, but he purposely walk on me while I’m sleeping. I got kinda allergy to cat’s fur at time, after “massaging” me, that fat cat actually make himself comfortable & sleep on my tummy, I can hardly breathe!! I woke up with swollen eyes due to the allergy the next day.

4days of homely feeling acting like a house-wife with my boyfriend by my side every single hours & I’m back to my own house, my comfort zone now. I really appreciate my mum doing all the household chores leaving me with no worry & allow me to be able to fully concentrate on my work, I can’t imagine the day when my own house is here & I need to manage everything by myself, juggling both work & home, I should consider on hiring a maid next time.

National Day Weekend

After 4days of break & I'm back to office once again! It been really nice taking a good rest away from work, been quite awhile since I take such a long break I guess, been spending my days well.

For all the roadsters, I guess all of them will know the tradition of "Racing Day", a day just before National day. We keep this tradition still, met up for some rounding session on that day, but no race for us. Didn't end the day late, as most of us had a tired day at work, end the day at "5 Drunken Rabbits" with a nice glass of cocktail before we head back to sleep.

On national day itself, I spent most of the day at home with dear, only went out during the evening time to have dinner with his parents. Initial plan was to have "bak chor mee" for dinner, but it turn out to be a feast for us, "crab meehoon"! The dinner for 4 cost ard 150bucks, WOW!! Never afraid to go on hunger when we are out with his parents.

Dear is working on Friday, but I was on leave. During the afternoon time I bought mum to visit Tracy at her house as we are not able to make it for Cassie's full month party the next day. She was so CUTE!! Mum just can't wait to "promote" to grandma status!!

Alvin send us back to Bedok, had out late lunch at "Ayam Penyet" before we head back home.

After dear knock off he came over to pick me up. Too full for dinner so dear cooked Maggi mee for me later in the night, so nice of him. Went out to meet the rest around 12midnight, it was a crazy night, went touring around Singapore, been awhile since I go home this late, nearly 5am in the morning.

Time for some workout on Saturday, dear bought me to Changi for some cycling session. Forget about all those bicycle track & we head for some off road cycling. I swear it damn tiring going on those uneven ground, I even fall a couple of time. We got lost in the forest & we are racing with time with the sunset! I seriously can't imagine us being trap in the forest with no light, luckily enough, we manage to find our way out before the sunset.

Went home to have a good shower before meeting Jimmy & Jaimie for dinner at Parkway "Ichiban Boshi". They queued 45mins to get seated & we waited 45mins for our food to be served. That was a long wait & Jamie keep complaining about it, we manage to get the service charge deduct off from our bill.

No where to go after our dinner & we came up with crazy plan of parenting session. I'm itching all over now with all the bites from the sand flies.

Yesterday night went to catch the movie "Magic Mike" after our dinner at "Nandos". The tickets only worth the price if your motive is to look at those super hot hunks, if not I think that show is a total bullshit.

愛上巧克力 aka Ti Amo Chocolate

I have been watching so many drama lately, done with the "Secret Garden" like last week & finally I also completed my 80 episode of Taiwan drama "愛上巧克力" yesterday.

"愛上巧克力 aka Ti Amo Chocolate" took me like forever to finish watching, first time ever, I complete a whole drama serial with so many episode. For people who know me well enough, I'm never crazy over any idol & stuff except for one & only person. I have always been a hardcore fan of Vanness ever since the existing of F4, I had never give his show a missed since then.

No matter is 80 or even 100 episode is never a problem for me, but this drama is showing air in Taiwan at the same time, that is the main reason for taking me so long to complete the serial. They only show on every Monday in Taiwan, the episode will only available for download the very next day.

Just to catch this drama in no time, my hand phone bill cost me a bomb, I exceed the 3G limit of 12GB per month, this is how crazy I can be at time.

I'm not going to share anything about this drama cos it is too much to share, all I can say is if you are a fan of Vanness, this a a must watch show! He is just so charming & gorgeous in this serial!
